Tiny Suitcase .Tiny Suitcase is a family travel planning web app. Users answer questions about their family (number of adults, children's ages, nap schedules, dietary restrictions, travel preferences, budget, and departure city) and the app uses AI to generate personalized destination recommendations, day-by-day itineraries, packing lists, dining guides, and hotel recommendations. User-entered information is stored locally in the user's browser (localStorage) and is never transmitted to or stored on our servers. Trip planning inputs are sent to Anthropic's Claude AI API solely to generate travel recommendations and are not retained by us. The app uses the following third-party services: Anthropic (Claude AI, for generating recommendations and itineraries), Unsplash (destination photography), Google Places API (hotel photos), Vercel (hosting and cookie-free web analytics). The app displays links to OpenTable (restaurant reservations), Booking.com, and Airbnb (hotel search) but does not share user data with these services. The app does not require account creation, does not collect email addresses, does not process payments, and does not use advertising trackers or marketing cookies.

In Short: Some information — such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address and/or browser and device characteristics — is collected automatically when you visit our Services.We automatically collect certain information when you visit, use, or navigate the Services. We use Vercel Analytics, a cookie-free analytics solution, to understand page views and visitor counts. Vercel Analytics does not use cookies or tracking pixels and does not identify individual users.
Google API
Our use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We use the Google Places API solely to retrieve hotel property photos. We do not use Google APIs to collect, store, or share personal user data.2. HOW DO WE PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?

- To deliver travel planning services. We process trip planning inputs you provide (family size, preferences, budget, departure city) by sending them to Anthropic's Claude AI API to generate personalized destination recommendations, itineraries, packing lists, dining guides, and hotel recommendations. This data is not retained by us or Anthropic after the response is generated.
- To identify usage trends. We may process information about how you use our Services to better understand how they are being used so we can improve them.
- To protect our Services. We may process your information as part of our efforts to keep our Services safe and secure, including fraud monitoring and prevention.
- To save or protect an individual's vital interest. We may process your information when necessary to save or protect an individual's vital interest, such as to prevent harm.
3. WHAT LEGAL BASES DO WE RELY ON TO PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?

- AI Platforms — Anthropic (Claude AI) receives trip planning inputs for the sole purpose of generating travel recommendations. Data is not retained after response generation per Anthropic's API terms.
- Performance Monitoring Tools — Vercel (hosting and cookie-free analytics).
- When we use Google Maps Platform APIs — We may share information with certain Google Maps Platform APIs (e.g., Google Places API) to retrieve hotel property photos. We obtain and store cached photo URLs on your device. We do not share personal information with Google beyond what is necessary for photo retrieval.
We also may need to share your personal information in the following situations:
- Business Transfers. We may share or transfer your information in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, sale of company assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business to another company.
5. WHAT IS OUR STANCE ON THIRD-PARTY WEBSITES?
In Short: We are not responsible for the safety of any information that you share with third parties that we may link to.The Services may link to third-party websites, online services, or mobile applications (including OpenTable, Booking.com, and Airbnb). We use browser localStorage to save your trip inputs, itinerary results, saved hotels, dining picks, and usage tracking data locally on your device. This data never leaves your browser and is not transmitted to our servers. You can clear this data at any time by clearing your browser storage. We do not use advertising cookies, marketing cookies, or third-party tracking pixels.
Tiny Suitcase does not require you to create an account and does not offer social media login options. All data you enter is stored locally in your browser.
8. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?
In Short: Trip planning data is processed in real-time and not retained on our servers. Data you save locally persists in your browser until you clear it.We will only keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Notice. Trip planning inputs sent to the Claude AI API are processed in real-time and not retained by us. Data stored locally in your browser (localStorage) persists until you choose to clear your browser data. Vercel Analytics aggregated usage data may be retained per Vercel's data retention policies.
9. HOW DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION SAFE?
In Short: We aim to protect your personal information through organizational and technical security measures.We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our safeguards and efforts to secure your information, no electronic transmission over the Internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. You should only access the Services within a secure environment.
10. DO WE COLLECT INFORMATION FROM MINORS?
